Richard Epley founded Auto Financial Group (AFG) in 1999 and currently serves as the CEO. His vision for a scalable business model that utilized technology to facilitate transactions was realized in DrivingSense™, AFG’s residual based financing product that allows credit union members to customize a vehicle, compare payments with a loan calculator and access electronic loan documents. Epley continues to be responsible for AFG’s daily operations. Richard received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995. He is a Carousel Board Member for the Texas Children’s Hospital and a Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Tim Kelly has over 20 years experience delivering solutions to financial institutions. Most recently Tim was the CEO of Teres Solutions. After the acquisition of Teres by CRIF S.p.A he was promoted to President of CRIF Lending Solutions where he led the company through multiple acquisitions and integration. Tim also served as Vice President of business development for Harland Financial Solutions’ UltraData-Enterprise system. Tim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas State University (1983). Tim is a student of his customers, profession, and industry.
Andre leads all finance and accounting functions at AFG. He began his career in institutional investments prior to receiving his MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Since then, Andre worked for a boutique financial due diligence firm specializing in fractional CFO services and transactional advisory. He holds a BA in International Business and Finance from the University of South Carolina. Andre is a CFA Charterholder.
Shannon leads the Product and Development teams for Auto Financial Group in both U.S. and Canada. His teams are focused on delivering the most effective and efficient solutions to lenders and dealers across the automobile residual based finance landscape. After working over 20 years with Citifinancial Auto across various company disciplines, he has been spent the last 10+ years focused on automobile leasing solutions for his clients. He holds a MBA from Baylor University.
Liz built a successful 30-year career in the Credit Union movement. She’s joining AFG from Cinfed Credit Union, which serves the Cincinnati, Ohio area. At Cinfed, she is the VP of Branch Operations and is responsible for building and sustaining a modern sales and service culture. Her collaborative leadership style has increased volume and driven results by developing strong teams that get the job done. Before that role, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Financial Plus Credit Union in Illinois. As COO, she oversaw Branch Operations, Human Resources, and Training across the credit union. Liz is passionate about helping clients find the right financial solutions for their needs and providing exceptional service.
Tim brings over 16 years’ experience in the automotive industry, having worked for the world’s largest mobility company, Enterprise Mobility as well as in all functions at several dealerships. His last 12 years were spent as a Sales Manager in the Cincinnati market. Tim now leads the team at AFG that is committed to getting residual based financing into all of our Dealership partners. His leadership abilities have consistently fostered the development of successful sales teams and strengthened dealer relationships with various credit unions. Tim and his team are passionate about exceeding client expectations by providing excellent service.
Dave Pratt brings over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, having worked in various capacities at dealerships early in his career, followed by a successful run in the fleet lease industry as sales and marketing manager. More recently, Pratt spent 15 years in the auction industry with Manheim and was involved in building and running three auctions in Texas.
Monica Mendoza leads all marketing initiatives at AFG. Monica has over 15 years of experience in B2B marketing, with significant expertise in implementing marketing automation programs and digital marketing strategies. Monica holds an MBA from Boston University as well as a Master of English and German Literature degree from the University of Tübingen.
